None of Adastra’s customer operations are the same and many of them differ quite radically in structure and function. It is crucial to their effective operation that Adastra is able to shape itself around the form assumed by services in each locality.

Key to adapting the software and then guiding its local implementation is the Adastra training team.

Trainer Expertise

Our 9 trainers must have an intimate understanding of what is a very sophisticated software package. They must also have a sound practical understanding of the operational and clinical setting in which it fits.

Trainers recruited by Adastra will expect to spend at least their first six months shadowing colleagues as they build-up their own understanding. And as new software features are generated there is a constant cycle of testing and rehearsal led by the Training Department.

The thoroughness of this process is vital to effective alpha-testing. The trainers understand the live operational environment very well and can best simulate its demands in a test setting. And their early engagement also ensures that the trainers are fully prepared to support customer upgrades as soon as new versions of the software are released.

Training Facilities

Adastra has invested heavily in its training facilities at Ashford. Recognising the inevitable distractions which tend to cut across training at the customer site, we have set up a discrete network in our training suite which allows us to replicate the customer’s control room environment. These facilities are augmented by NHSnet connection, televisual recording facilities, and an interactive whiteboard.
