Further utilising Adastra’s established Pocket Aremote software, iNurse greatly enhances the role of nursing in the community:

  • Incoming Cases are allocated by a team leader to each nurse in the team
  • Case Loads are received for the day onto the rugged hand-held PDA with all the necessary case information

  • Cases may be updated, and returned to Adastra v3 from the device

  • System Flexibility means that cases may be redated, reassigned and reallocated if required

  • Data analysis is easily available

The elimination of illegible faxes and misheard phone calls provides for safer and more efficient care. The allocation of cases by a team leader to individual devices, substantially reduces the need for nurses to visit their clinic or surgery every few hours to replenish the case load. This saves considerable time and travel and enables many more visits to be conducted per nurse. The time saved aggregates to a substantial amount per year.

Because demographic data is collected and stored automatically, multi-dimensional analysis is available, such as sources of cases, clusters of treatments, clinical outcomes, lengths of treatments, case load churn, scheduling and rota improvements and travel times.

A substantial return on investment is demonstrable through the implementation of iNurse for community nursing and similar ‘out of office’ care working.
